1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information: your name, email address, and the details you give us in an order or contact form. Payment information is processed and stored by PayPal, we do not store your credit card or bank details.

When you comment on our Instagram or Facebook posts, or send us a message there, we receive your public username, the text of your comment or message, and the time it was sent. We receive this only through Meta's official tools for businesses.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: prepare and deliver the written work you ordered, manage your order, membership and account, communicate important updates, and ensure security of the platform.

Comments and messages you send us on social media are used only to reply to you, and to understand in aggregate which of our posts people find helpful. We never message anyone who has not contacted us first, and we do not send bulk messages.

Some replies are drafted with the help of an AI system and reviewed before they are sent. If you ask whether you are talking to AI, we will always tell you honestly.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Order details and correspondence are stored so that the written work can be prepared, delivered and referred back to.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: PayPal for payment processing, Supabase for database hosting and account authentication, Meta for receiving and replying to Instagram and Facebook comments and messages, our server hosting provider, and Anthropic, which provides the AI model that helps draft replies. They process information only on our behalf. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your data.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data, request deletion of your data, cancel your subscription at any time, and contact us with privacy concerns.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Social media comments and messages are kept for up to 90 days so we can follow the conversation, and are then deleted.

7. How to Delete Your Data

Email info@alignedink.com with the subject "Delete my data". If your request is about Instagram or Facebook, include your username there. We will delete your comments, messages and any related records from our systems within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also remove our access at any time in your Instagram or Facebook settings, under Apps and websites.
