How to easily set boundaries? (for yourself and others)

Boundaries are a tricky question. The last few years have given boundaries a somewhat problematic appearance.
Some people use them as a defense mechanism - to keep out intruders. On the other hand, some people use them as an enabling mechanism - to show the world that they don't need anything and can manage on their own. You can also find people who believe that they need boundaries to choose completely freely, and on the other hand, people who believe that if they have boundaries in their free choice, it won't be truly free.
Here are 7 ways to help you set balanced boundaries easily:
    1. The difference between a boundary and a wall - a boundary is a role definition, it is not a wall. When you set boundaries, you are not trying to limit or change external reality. You are limiting yourself.
    2. You decide - you can change the boundary at any moment you want. You decide about its shape.
    3. The boundary is meant to protect you, but not to define danger - some people use boundaries to protect themselves. The boundary is meant to create a "prevention" of this need. In other words, you don't have to protect yourself, but defining healthy boundaries does not put your foot on the edge of a cliff.
    4. The boundary is a gateway to change - when you define a boundary, you can feel free within it. If you feel that you don't have enough freedom within the boundary, it's a sign that you have defined a wall.
    5. A boundary is an integral part of freedom - if you don't have boundaries, you can walk in any direction, but when there is no fixed law between your steps, your walk cannot lead you anywhere.
    6. A boundary is the will of the soul - The lesson of boundaries says that a boundary should be defined not on the basis of satisfying needs, but on the basis of free choice in a life framework that will support and benefit you. Every lack you fill opens a lack somewhere else.
    7. A boundary is security - when a boundary is defined flexibly, you can move within it knowing that you won't have to protect yourself all the time.
